Constructed from 1.5mm Grade 409 stainless steel, this component significantly extends the lifespan of your exhaust system compared to original equipment. Grade 409 ferritic stainless steel is the industry standard for automotive exhaust applications, selected for its superior bendability and weldability while resisting vibration-induced cracking common to other stainless grades. This material excels in resisting both atmospheric and exhaust gas corrosion, making it ideal for demanding underbody environments. Note that Grade 409 may develop a light surface patina over time, which actually inhibits further corrosion despite affecting appearance.
