Nitrogen is the only appropriate gas for use in all shock absorbers and bump stops—never use compressed air or any alternative gas. Before gassing, verify the shock is fully extended and the valve on the reservoir or shock is secure with no leaks present. If re-gassing while shocks are installed, jack up the vehicle. Maintain nitrogen pressure for 30 seconds to confirm correct pressure has been reached, then promptly remove the filler valve to prevent gas loss. Mega Sport shocks arrive factory-set at 100–150psi for recreational driving and can be adjusted between 60 and 200psi, with higher pressures producing a firmer ride and lower pressures delivering a softer ride. Hydraulic bump stops are factory-set at 150psi and feature an adjustable range of 100–400psi to customize ride quality and suit your specific application. Gas pressure may differ between front and rear, but should remain consistent from side to side. Always reattach the reservoir valve cap after gassing to prevent dust and dirt contamination. Check nitrogen pressure every 10,000 miles for continued optimal performance. Bottle and gauge required.
