The Terrafirma 2.5" Air Shock was engineered for high-performance rock crawling vehicles requiring extreme axle articulation. This 12" air shock manages vehicle weight, delivers infinite ride height adjustability, and enables unlimited articulation—eliminating coil spring dislocation and binding issues for custom builders. Featuring up to 16" of travel, it accommodates significant axle movement for the most demanding off-road applications. Combined with Terrafirma's hydraulic bump stops, the air shock delivers superior ride quality when tackling obstacles and extreme terrain. Built with a robust 2.5" (66mm) diameter body and a 1.625" (40mm) hard chromed, highly polished piston shaft, the shock incorporates advanced valving and seal technology. The unit operates on high-pressure Nitrogen, factory preset at 150psi with an adjustable range of 100-400psi to match vehicle weight and desired ride height. Terrafirma Air Shocks mount vertically with the shaft positioned at the bottom for optimal performance. Fine-tuning is possible by adjusting both oil volume and Nitrogen pressure to precisely match your application. The factory setting assumes an average configuration for vehicles weighing 2000-3000kg. For chassis designed with 1.5" (38mm) ball joints, Terrafirma Misalignment Spacers adapt the larger shock spherical bearing for enhanced articulation and can convert to the smaller ½" (12.5mm) diameter bolt used by some shock manufacturers.
