The Terrafirma 2.5" Air Shock was engineered for high-performance rock crawling applications demanding maximum axle articulation. This custom shock absorbs vehicle weight while delivering infinite ride height adjustability and unrestricted wheel movement—eliminating coil spring dislocation and binding issues. Featuring up to 16" of travel, it accommodates extreme articulation for serious off-road use. The air suspension delivers superior ride quality, while integrated hydraulic bump stops protect against obstacles and harsh terrain. Built with a robust 2.5" (66mm) diameter body and 1.625" (40mm) hard chromed, polished piston shaft, the shock incorporates advanced valving and seal technology. High-pressure nitrogen charging allows precise tuning: factory-set at 150psi with adjustable range from 100-400psi based on vehicle weight and desired ride height. Optimal performance requires vertical mounting with the shaft positioned at the bottom. Fine-tuning is achieved by adjusting both oil volume and nitrogen pressure to match specific applications. The factory setting assumes vehicles weighing 2000-3000kg. For chassis with 1.5" (38mm) ball joints, Terrafirma Misalignment Spacers adapt the shock's spherical bearing for maximum articulation and accommodate ½" (12.5mm) diameter bolts used by alternative shock brands.
