Built from the ground up for extreme off-road applications and rock crawling, the Terrafirma 16" Air Shock delivers unmatched performance for custom vehicle builders. This 2.5" diameter air shock eliminates traditional coil spring issues like dislocation and binding, offering infinite ride height adjustment and exceptional articulation capabilities. With up to 16 inches of travel, the shock accommodates massive axle movement required for serious off-road competition. The robust 2.5" (66mm) construction features a 1.625" (40mm) hard chromed polished piston shaft with advanced valving and sealing technology. Combined with integrated hydraulic bump stops, this shock handles extreme terrain and obstacles with superior ride quality. The shock operates on high-pressure nitrogen, factory preset at 150psi with adjustability between 100-400psi to accommodate various vehicle weights and desired ride heights. For optimal performance, mount the shock vertically with the shaft positioned at the bottom. Fine-tune performance by adjusting both oil volume and nitrogen pressure for precise application-specific tuning. Factory settings are calibrated for vehicles weighing 2000-3000kg. For chassis using 1.5" (38mm) ball joints, Terrafirma Misalignment Spacers are available to adapt the shock's larger spherical bearing for maximum articulation and compatibility with smaller ½" (12.5mm) diameter bolts.
