Keep your transmission running smoothly with the Terrafirma Automatic Transmission Filter Conversion Kit, designed for LR3, LR4, Range Rover Sport, and Range Rover 2002-2012 models equipped with 6HP26 or 6HP28 ZF 6-speed automatic gearboxes. Oil degradation can cause judder, noise, and poor gear change quality, which is why ZF recommends fluid and filter changes every 50,000 to 75,000 miles to maintain peak performance across all 5, 6, and 8-speed automatic transmissions. Factory transmission servicing is notoriously complex, typically requiring engine lifting, mount removal, and exhaust extraction just to access the integrated sump and filter assembly. This conversion kit streamlines the entire process significantly. After draining the transmission fluid, simply unbolt the existing unit and use a hacksaw to cut the filter tube from the old plastic sump. Remove the sump and the remaining filter tube section, then install the new separate filter and steel sump pan using the supplied gasket before refilling per manufacturer specifications. The upgraded sump pan offers superior durability, replacing the original plastic component (LR007474) with robust steel construction. Service requires 7 litres of transmission fluid.
