Terrafirma - Foam Air Filter - TD4

Terrafirma Foam Air Filter for Freelander 1 (Replaces LR007478) This high-performance foam air filter from Terrafirma, manufactured by Pipercross—pioneers in foam filtration technology—is a direct replacement for your vehicle's original paper air element. The reusable design delivers 30% increased airflow compared to standard filters, with no additional induction noise. Unlike conventional paper or cotton filters that lose efficiency as dirt accumulates, the deep foam construction allows air to flow around trapped particles, maintaining consistent performance. MIRA independent testing confirms that Pipercross foam holds more than twice the dust capacity of alternative filter types while preserving airflow quality. Built from specially formulated polyurethane foam, the filter features triple-layer construction that progressively filters from coarse to fine, capturing larger debris in the outer layers while the inner layer provides superior filtration and engine protection. The multi-layer design offers enhanced durability and longevity compared to paper alternatives. When saturated, the filter is easily serviced—simply clean using the recommended solution and re-oil as needed for continued use. This washable, lifetime-rated filter eliminates the need for frequent replacements. For high-performance applications demanding maximum airflow, the premium Pipercross PLUS Panel option is available, featuring stainless steel framing and a 2-layer foam construction (5mm 60PPI and 20mm 20PPI layers) that flows 22.1% more air than the standard panel, with improved dirt retention capabilities.
