The Terrafirma 28.0mm Heavy Duty Rear Anti Roll Bar reduces body roll and enhances vehicle stability during cornering. This uprated antiroll bar can replace an existing standard unit or be installed on vehicles not originally equipped with one. Ideal for lifted, heavily laden, commercial, expedition, and armoured vehicles, it also benefits standard vehicles prone to body movement during directional changes and those used for towing. Recently, lowered road-focused Defenders have found significant value in upgraded antiroll bars, which compensate for reduced spring movement and tight axle-to-bump stop clearance. Constructed from spring steel in a U-shape and fixed to both sides of the chassis and axle via connecting links, the antiroll bar's stiffness depends on arm length, bar thickness, and spring rate. The Terrafirma rear design features increased thickness and width compared to standard specifications, fitting outside original mounting points by reversing the link mounts. The front maintains a stronger version of the original configuration. For optimal fitment and performance, Terrafirma offers compatible link kits, spacer kits, and replacement bushes. Link kits are essential when no existing antiroll bar is present, while spacer kits are recommended for lifted vehicles to prevent link rotation during suspension articulation. Approximately 1" of spacer accommodates each 2" of suspension lift.
