The Terrafirma Heavy Duty Anti Roll Bar Front (25.4mm diameter) reduces body roll and enhances vehicle stability during cornering. This uprated antiroll bar can replace an existing standard bar or be added to vehicles not originally equipped with one. Constructed from spring steel in a U-shape and fixed to both sides of the chassis and axle with connecting links for articulation, the bar's stiffness derives from arm length and the thickness and spring rate of the bar itself. These heavy duty bars are engineered stronger than standard to provide superior control, particularly benefiting lifted vehicles, heavily laden vehicles, commercial and expedition builds, armoured vehicles, and those used for towing. Lowered, road-focused Defenders also gain significant advantages from upgraded antiroll bars, which compensate for reduced spring movement and limited axle-to-bump stop clearance. The front bar maintains the original shape and design while offering increased strength. To guarantee proper installation and performance, Terrafirma supplies link kits for vehicles without an existing antiroll bar, spacer kits for lifted suspensions to prevent link over-centre rotation during suspension articulation (typically 1" of spacer per 2" of lift), and replacement bushes. This product is compatible with Defender 90, Defender 110, Defender 130, Discovery 1, and Range Rover Classic.
