Pair aggressive tire patterns, increased horsepower and axle diff locks with one-upmanship and you're looking at potential standard driveline failures. Heavy duty shafts and CV joints are now essential upgrades. Since space within standard axles is limited, upgrading requires improved material specification and heat treatment rather than increased component size. Both front and rear half shafts are manufactured from SAE4340 alloy steel, featuring a high nickel-chromoly-molybdenum content. To achieve heavy duty performance while maintaining elasticity, shafts and CV joints undergo a rigorous 3-stage heat treatment process. This produces half shafts that are significantly stronger and gentler on associated drivetrain components, particularly differentials and transfer boxes. CV joints, the most critical drivetrain component, are machined from the same SAE4340 chromoly material for enhanced toughness and shock load resistance. Terrafirma CV joints feature a 30mm centre with 23 splines and must be paired with matching heavy-duty shafts. These heavy duty half shafts and CV joints are direct replacements for original equipment, allowing you to upgrade individual components or your entire driveline. Available as complete sets or individual HD replacements. All heavy-duty shafts are compatible with 24 spline differentials. CV joints supplied with grease. Backed by a 5-year limited warranty, subject to authorisation. Maximum tire diameter 35".
