Pair aggressive tyre patterns, increased horsepower and axle diff locks with standard driveline components and breakages are inevitable. Heavy duty shafts and CV joints are now essential upgrades for serious off-road use. Since space within standard axles is restricted, material specification and heat treatment processes are the solution to increased durability. Both front and rear half shafts are constructed from SAE4340 alloy steel, featuring a high nickel-chromoly-molybdenum content. To achieve both heavy duty performance and exceptional elasticity, shafts and CV joints undergo a 3-stage heat treatment process. This results in half shafts that are significantly stronger and reduce stress on differentials and transfer boxes. CV joints remain the most critical drivetrain component and are machined from the same SAE4340 chromoly material, delivering enhanced toughness and shock load resistance. Terrafirma CV joints feature a 30mm centre with 23 splines and must be paired with compatible heavy-duty shafts. These heavy duty half shafts and CV joints are direct replacements for original equipment, allowing you to upgrade individual drivetrain components or the entire system. Available as complete sets or individual HD replacements, all heavy-duty shafts work with 24 spline differentials. CV joints are supplied with grease. Covered by a 5-year limited warranty subject to authorisation, with a maximum tyre diameter rating of 35".
