Enhanced performance upgrades like aggressive tread patterns, increased power output, and axle diff locks can push standard drivelines beyond their limits. Heavy duty shafts and CV joints are now essential components for modified vehicles. Standard axles have limited space for larger half shafts and CV joints, making improved material specification and heat treatment the key to durability. These front and rear half shafts are forged from premium alloy steel containing high levels of nickel-chromoly-molybdenum (SAE4340). A specialized 3-stage heat treatment process ensures both exceptional strength and optimal flexibility. The result is significantly stronger half shafts and CV joints that protect other critical drivetrain components, including differentials and transfer boxes. CV joints represent the most vulnerable part of any drivetrain. These components are machined from SAE4340 chromoly material, offering superior toughness and improved shock load resistance. Raptor CV joints feature a 30mm centre with 23 splines and must be paired with matching heavy-duty shafts. Backed by a 5-year limited warranty (subject to authorization).
