Terrafirma Heavy Duty Half Shaft Set - 24 Spline - Front This set includes 448mm and 835mm half shafts designed to withstand the demands of modified vehicles. Enhanced performance modifications—including aggressive tyres, increased horsepower, and axle diff locks—can stress standard driveline components. Our heavy-duty solution increases material specification and heat treatment rather than shaft diameter, as space within standard axles is limited. Both shafts are constructed from SAE4340 alloy steel, a high-strength nickel-chromoly-molybdenum material. The shafts undergo a specialized 3-stage heat treatment process to deliver exceptional strength while maintaining elasticity. This combination protects the entire drivetrain, reducing stress on differentials and transfer boxes. The matching CV joints are also machined from SAE4340 chromoly material, providing superior toughness and shock load resistance. These heavy-duty components feature a 30mm centre with 23 splines and are engineered to work specifically with these heavy-duty shafts. Suitable for Defender 90, Defender 110, Defender 130, Discovery 1, and Range Rover Classic. Maximum tyre diameter: 35". Covered by a 5-year limited warranty, subject to authorisation.
