Terrafirma - Replacement Silencer Pipe - Stainless Steel - TD5 / V8

Terrafirma - Replacement Silencer Pipe - TD5 / V8

Upgrade your Discovery 2's exhaust system with this Terrafirma replacement silencer pipe for TD5 and V8 engines (1998-2004). This free-flowing alternative eliminates the restrictive factory centre silencer, delivering an enhanced exhaust note while removing a vulnerable component. Constructed from 1.5mm Grade 409 stainless steel, this pipe offers superior longevity compared to original equipment. Grade 409 ferritic stainless steel is specifically engineered for automotive exhaust applications, providing excellent bendability and weldability without the vibration-induced cracking issues common to other stainless grades. The material delivers strong resistance to atmospheric and exhaust gas corrosion, though light surface oxidation may develop in most environments—a protective patina that prevents deeper corrosion while limiting aesthetic appeal for decorative purposes.
